Summary

Summary
Puzzles had always drawn Tony, and there was no greater puzzle than the God of Mischief. What began as morbid curiosity, self-destructive impulse, and unsubtly veiled threats had spiraled into something even Tony Stark could not have foreseen. With a battle looming on the horizon, was the side he had chosen the right one? Even if it was... would he be able to convince his friends, and gain the allies that he and Loki so desperately needed? For each piece of the puzzle he managed to solve, he was left with more questions than he began with, and very few satisfactory answers. The fallen prince wasn't the most cooperative of allies, either.

Summary
Follows the events of From Winter's Cold by 27dragons, (but mostly ignores the Epilogue).
The Story So Far: Through a time travel mishap Iron Man is in the right place and the right time to rescue Bucky Barnes after his fall from the train in the Alps. Stark figures out how to send a message forward in time to JARVIS with his when/where coordinates & the info needed to bring him back. Barnes asks to come along, and Stark brings him, hoping to negate the whole Winter Soldier situation. Unfortunately, the world apparently needs a Winter Soldier, and in the new reality, it’s former SSR/SHIELD Agent Peggy Carter. The events of Captain America:Winter Soldier still take place (as best I can tell) and at some point after (not specified) the Avengers + Bucky manage to rescue/capture Winter Soldier Peggy.
This picks up about three weeks after these events and focuses on Peggy's recovery and its ups and downs. There is drama and angst; and a bit of fluff, and an oddly appropriate movie choice by Barton.
