Summary
Traffic on a Friday night in the city was always terrible, but tonight it was especially brutal. Only one hour into his shift and already the flashy billboards and harsh headlights were beginning to give him a headache.
It would be a lie to say that chauffeuring people from point A to point B had been one of Ferdinand’s lifetime career aspirations. However, working for a company like Ryde was a convenient way to earn a supplemental income –owning horses did not come cheap, after all.
After hunting down a place to park, Ferdinand sighed and notified the customer of his arrival through the service app. He had arrived a little later than anticipated but on a night like tonight that was to be expected. Hopefully his customer would be understanding.

This story takes place in modern times in a nondisclosed city and country where Ferdinand is a driver for a mobility service provider (similar to Uber or Lyft). Ferdinand picks up a certain handsome, dark-haired, and green-eyed gentleman at a lounge and they both end up in a hotel room. See chapter notes for clarification on tags used.

Enchanter Dorian Pavus and Commander Cullen Rutherford are the definition of ideologically incompatible - which makes falling in love somewhat awkward.
Featuring Dorian coaxing Cullen through lyrium withdrawal with not a care for his silk shirt, the north/south divide made flesh, romantic snow, the challenges of having sex while wearing full plate armour, and what happens if you threaten to name a Mabari after your beloved.
