Yeonjun widened his stance, rooted himself firmly in place and issued a challenge to Beomgyu when he curled his hands into a fist. There was certain death in either direction, no way out, nothing to keep him safe and no promises that he would live to see the dawn of tomorrow's sun. If he didn't die in these accursed walls, then the beasts and the poisons of the forest would take him.
If he managed to escape the beasts, then he would die from hunger and thirst before the week was out. He had strength right now. It wouldn't last him long, he was already flagging, the heat, the thirst was getting to him. But he could stand on his feet, and he could kill the man in front of him.
Beomgyu took his own stance, he knew where this was going, he knew what was going to happen. He had a slender figure, he would be quicker on his feet, eel-like and slippery. Yeonjun wouldn't give him the chance.Yeonjun's face twisted into a snarl, and he lunged.
Where General Choi Yeonjun and General Choi Beomgyu lead the armies of two opposing Kingdoms but find themselves in a time-loop through unfortunate circumstance.

Yeonjun held up his own hand, the illusion of them holding each other's hand soothed something in Beomgyu, but Yeonjun's next words took away every inch of warmth from his body. "Missing me until your next husband, huh?" he asked bitterly.
"What? Of course not," Beomgyu frowned. "Why would you say something like that? Don't you know what you mean to me?"
"I think I know I mean a lot to you. And I know how much I love you. But, now, I'm starting to feel as though it's not enough to keep you with me. I feel as though I'll only ever have pieces of you, but never you."
"That is the furthest thing from truth I have ever heard," Beomgyu scoffed. "Since the first time we met, since that night in the bar, I've always been yours. You don't have pieces of me when my entire soul is made from the essence of loving you."
5 times Beomgyu married someone else and his personal assistant Yeonjun had to watch and pick up the pieces, and the one time, Beomgyu proposed to Yeonjun.

This was a question Beomgyu knew the answer to. "You," he sobbed, writhing on the bed desperately. He was sure he did not look the least bit appealing, but he was too far gone to care about that. There was an aching want in him, and the only person to extinguish that thirst. "Want you, Yeonjun, please."

It wasn't his fault - though fault implies that there was something wrong with the events that occurred, when in reality, this was probably the best thing that had ever happened to him. See, Yeonjun, being the poor college student that he was, tended to overdose on caffeine, the only affordable addiction for him, honestly. And it was on one of (absolutely unnecessary) coffee runs that he ran into the love of his life. So, see, there was nothing wrong with this situation at all!
"You're delusional," his best friend, Taehyun said, when Yeonjun recounted this story to him for the millionth time. "You don't even know who he is, how can you call him the love of your life?"
in which: Yeonjun sees Beomgyu standing in line in a coffee shop and it changes his life. The only problem is - Choi Beomgyu is married. And Yeonjun is still stupidly in love with him.
