Summary
This universe is so close to the one she recognizes, but there's no way to know how long she will inhabit the body of Carina Sheffield, Lady Mary's niece. The Sharma family is without their beloved Kate, and 'Carina' can't bear to watch Anthony Bridgerton marry some stranger when Edwina, a sweet, genuine, and loving person, is available instead.
She resolves to pick up Kate's protective role, but this time, advocate for a match-- after all, without the powerful attraction between the two soulmates, Anthony and Edwina could make a marriage work, couldn't they? All Carina has to do is use her knowledge of the series and the books to guide the pair toward each other, and, most crucially, stay out of the way.
To her consternation, she can't keep from antagonizing (and attracting) Anthony, which draws his attention away from Edwina despite her best efforts. Despite not belonging in his world, Carina finds herself falling for Anthony more thoroughly than she ever could have imagined. Can she claim a place in his heart, or will she be dragged back to her old, modern life before Anthony makes her a part of his?
