‘Pah!’ another woman interrupted, elbowing her way in front of Frieda. ‘If you want to learn guitar, you come spend some time with Abuela Aida and mi esposo, Simón. We were the best performers in León.’
‘How, when he will be too busy learning to bake with Abuela Maria,’ Maria cut in. The other two women scowled at her and an argument immediately broke out in Spanish.
Buck stared, bemused, as they carried on, gesturing wildly to him, to the surrounding houses, to each other. He wasn’t entirely sure what the argument was really about at this point but eventually, some sort of deal seemed to be reached. They nodded to each other and then turned to him. All their faces split into wide smiles. He gulped.-
Or, Eddie moves to Texas and Buck's new neighbours, convinced that he's been left by his husband, band together to make him feel supported. Until Eddie comes back, that is. Then it's open warfare.

He didn’t know what he expected, really. This was their lives they were talking about. A year ago he’d been perfectly content on his little Antarctic research base, no friends to speak of, and now he was sneaking around an alien spaceship with a P-90 in his hands and a bag of C4 strapped to his back scared that the one person in the universe he cared about more than himself was already laying on the ground somewhere, a lifeless husk with ridiculous goddamn hair. When he got Sheppard back, they were going to be having words. Right after he kissed him senseless for scaring him. And in the morning, he was going to ask Arcus about where he could find the Pegasus equivalent of a priest because there was no way John wasn’t cursed or something.

Or, John and Rodney try to find a more permanent base in Pegasus and nothing goes to plan, including picking up some new housemates.

Summary
Inspired by 'Kiss Me Like You Mean It' by Jui_Imouto_Chan. Kind of like a prequel to their story.
On the one hand, it was strange that a kiss was what it took to awaken androids but it also made perfect sense. A kiss was intimate, it was the sharing of ideas and the mingling of intentions and desires. Every kiss he had lain on plastic skin had carried with it the love he held for his people, his desire for their freedom and just a taste of what was waiting for them when they opened their eyes.
Markus had woken countless androids over the course of their short revolution. For some, it had taken a simple look and a pursing of lips, the love in his gaze enough. For others, it was the lightest pressure against their cheek and the brief zap of interfacing, his ideas and emotions sparking life into what once were shells. As he looked at Connor, the clenched jaw and wide eyes, felt the quiver of the gun brushing over his chest, he had a feeling it would take more than a simple peck to convey everything that needed to be said.

Summary
After gating back to Earth, John is arrested, court-martialed and thrown in prison for the death of Colonel Sumner. Rodney, fighting against the unjust punishment, breaks Sheppard free. They return to Pegasus, fugitives of Earth and Atlantis, and try to figure out what their life is now, what they are to each other and how they will continue to fulfil their mission: protecting the people of the Pegasus galaxy from the Wraith, all while trying to remain hidden from the teams of Atlantis still exploring the galaxy and the enemies they've made along the way.

May realised a very long time ago that Buck was basically her stepbrother. So, when the lightning strike finally provided the impetus for Bobby to admit that he also brought a kid into their family, she had every intention of seizing the opportunity to properly integrate Buck into the Grant-Nash family.
And, look, if in the process she also gains a brother-in-law… clearly the universe was just waiting for the opportunity to make that happen.

Or, the one where May ensures Buck is enfolded properly into the Grant-Nash clan, which means Bobby (and by extension the firefam, because gossip) suddenly gets significantly more insight into the inner workings of the Buckley-Diaz family, and all roads lead to Buddie…

Summary
He knew the second that Buck walked into the 118 that he wasn’t going to be like any other firefighter Bobby had ever met. But, that wasn’t the whole story. Perhaps there was a child sized hole in Bobby’s heart that hadn’t been filled yet when he met Buck. Or maybe it was because there was a gaping parent sized hole in Buck’s heart since he was born. All of this together caused Bobby to take Buck in as his own. Well, emotionally. He was still Buck’s boss after all.
Needless to say, Bobby knew a lot more about Buck than he did his other firefighters. For example, he knew Chimney’s favorite dinner and Hen’s preferred medical bag, but he knew that all Evan Buckley wanted was to have a family, a partner, and children. Honestly, he wouldn’t be surprised if other people knew that too. While other people knew, Bobby, as both Buck’s boss and dad, was the only one who wanted to and could do something about it. He used his paternal desire to meddle, and his bossly ability to hire someone who could fill all of Buck’s needs.
