“Aren’t you cold?” Eddie frowned at Buck in confusion, mildly concerned.
Eddie looked over at Bobby. He was also in his LAFD t-shirt, which, for their “winter in Los Angeles is like summer in Minnesota” captain, was a normal thing. Eddie still recalled the time they responded to an emergency at a skating rink, and Bobby seemed unbothered by the freezing cold.
A quick glance at Hen and Chimney confirmed that Eddie didn’t have a concussion or wasn’t suffering from some kind of hallucination. They were both wearing jackets, even Eddie had a hoodie on.
He returned his gaze to Buck and raised an eyebrow, repeating his question without speaking. His partner simply ducked his head in a small chuckle and shrugged before turning his back on Eddie to keep cooking. Eddie frowned harder.

Summary
Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.
