Summary
Sanji pulls his thumb from his mouth to run it under the water. It’s freezing and his thumb stings awfully as he holds it there. The cut is deeper than he thought. Maybe worth a visit to Chopper. That will put his dinner plans on hold until whatever needs to happen happens; be it glue or stitches or a higher grade bandage than what Sanji keeps inside his kitchen.
His blood runs cold as he realises that he isn’t as bothered by all of this as he ought to be.

After disposing of the raid suit, Sanji starts to spiral as he worries that he is turning into something he desperately wants not to be. In an effort not to let Sora's sacrifice be in vain, he battles with himself and denial while trying to hide his concerns from a crew who know him well enough to see when he is not as okay as he pretends to be.

After eight months the placement is deemed "long-term"; the contract is renegotiated, and as circumstances stand, the compensation is approximately halved. As a result, many families choose to forfeit custody of that child, often fostering a new child for the original allowance. For the purposes of this story at least, I don't know fuckall about any given country. Anyway.
Hitoshi has spent the last eight months with a family that's been pretty good to him. Now those eight months are up. Might be 20k, might never get posted. Let's see.
