Summary
“There’s been an accident. Buck is hurt. He’s alive, but it’s…” Chimney continues explaining but his voice fades out as Buck loses focus. All Buck can hear is the pounding of his own pulse. Buck is hurt? He can’t make sense of it.
In a daze, Buck holds the phone away from his face as he examines his arms by the light of the moon. These familiar arms are not his own. He tentatively reaches up to his face. Lips softer than he expected, stubble rougher… but there is little doubt about whose face he is touching. He rushes to the bathroom and the mirror confirms it. He’s Eddie? No. He’s INSIDE Eddie. No. He IS Eddie!
---
OR: Buck gets injured and wakes up in Eddie’s body, but he doesn’t have memories of the accident.

Summary
Soulmate Marks were personal, they were the most personal thing that a person could have. They were the connection to your other half, the thing that linked you so completely to someone in a way that was magical and unexplainable and they were supposed to be yours and your Soulmates and no one else’s.
When Buck's Soulmate Mark is leaked to the world, ruining his plans of meeting his Soulmate organically, he has no idea that fate has him covered.
Meanwhile, Eddie has never watched an episode of Serendipity, but starting the show involves becoming a fan of one Evan Buckley and finding out that the Soulmate he wasn't looking for is a famous actor responsible for his new favorite show.

Summary
“I'm gay.”
He's looking at his feet, because he hasn't quite come to terms with the fact that he's saying this in a room where other people, strangers, can hear it.
But this is still the first time he's said it this way: out loud, in a declarative sentence. Being nervous is fine. Frank said that being nervous is fine, and Buck just said he's proud, and the only thought Eddie has in his head is that it's embarrassing he can't raise his head and say it like a man, so clearly, he's going to need to hang on to other people's words for the time being, someone who isn't his dad trying to explain the ways Eddie's allowed to inhabit the world.
He doesn't need to ask anyone's permission to be who he is. That's also a thing Frank said.
in which eddie attends a self-empowerment group for gbtq men to supplement his therapy, and is empowered to: forgive himself, say "i'm gay" to his own reflection in the mirror, accidentally adopt an adult, make fried rice, and tell his straight best friend that he's in love with him. not necessarily in that order.

Summary
Romance is a lot easier to write about than it is to put into practice, and Eddie is the world’s most ridiculous living example of that. He can practically hear the kind of jokes that Shannon would make about it, if he ever told her about the books but - he didn’t. And somehow, probably just because he didn’t start writing until after they weren’t living together anymore, she never found out.
There’s actually only a handful of people in the world who know that Eddie is a writer - and more specifically, that he’s E. Diaz, one of the bestselling romance authors on the market.
or - the one where everything in canon is the same, except eddie diaz is secretly a bestselling romance author, and nobody knows. Yet.

The flight from Los Angeles, California to El Paso, Texas is one hour and fifty-five minutes long.
Buck spends one hour and fifteen minutes after he lands in the El Paso International Airport pick-up zone, waiting for his ride. He also racks up one hell of a debt in Uber cancellation fees.
The two are very much connected.
