Shane felt like his entire chest had turned to goo at the sentiment.
“Also,” Ilya added, and now his tone was smug again, “I did not know you were so good at fighting. Moy tigryonok, so vicious. It was very arousing. I could hardly look at you afterwards without whole arena knowing how much I wanted to fuck you.”
Now that they're on the same team, Shane gets to fight for Ilya. It goes even better than he might've hoped.

He can see it coming before it happens, knows he’s left himself open in one crucial, mortal way. Thinks hazily, from the ceiling of the bathroom looking down at himself, that maybe it was on purpose. That he left the gap in the armor, that he flashed it at Ilya, that he hoped Ilya would take the bait, would go in for the kill.
“But you can touch yourself.”
In the bathroom of the club, after watching Ilya across the room, the thing Shane's running from comes knocking.

Summary
David Rose falls off his cute huge yacht, loses his memory, and washes up in Schitt’s Creek, where he learns how to love.
This is loosely based on the movie Overboard, but if you read All the Songs I Sing Are About You, you already know I have a tendency to stray pretty far from the source material. The story is barely recognizable beyond the basic premise.
Schitt’s Creek is a small town on the water in this story, and NOTHING about the experience or treatment of amnesia in this is remotely accurate. It’s all made up, folks. Suspend your disbelief before entering.
The title comes from an episode of Schitt’s Creek. Bragging rights to the first person who figures out what episode and scene it came from.
