“Soleum-ah~ Stop spacing out! I found this for you to try." Black fabric was shoved into Soleum's arms, and she blinked out of her dazed, overtly-long observation.
Choi shoved herself into Soleum's space once again, grinning at her with the face of a woman who wasn't going to let Soleum go until she wore something they were both satisfied with.
"Go, go, go! We only have so many hours left before the day ends, and I still have a lot of work to do with you.”
Soleum runs into her senior in the fashion district. It’s an unusual encounter, even for something that involves Agent Choi.

“I was born in summer, so I guess I was meant to like it. The cold never agreed with me.” Choi shares, out of the blue. His hand drifts to his neck, scratching the edge of the pink scar absentmindedly.
“…Uh.” Soleum swallows. “Yeah. Me too." He corrects, "I always got sick in winter, as a kid. I still don’t like the cold even though I grew out of it.”
“Hm.” Choi returns to his idle paper folding, cutting strips and folding them nonsensically.
Soleum lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
No matter how you look at it, Choi wasn’t that type of person to warm up to a stranger so easily. Even with Soleum’s little knowledge of him, there is quite literally no reasonable explanation other than…
…It’s quite obvious, really.
He’s trying to catch me off guard.
Kim Soleum solves problems and conflicts in prison, Choi is a problematic prisoner, and they're really not supposed to get along. There are only so many things you can do with broken glass.

“Agent.” There it was, that stern, reprimanding tone that he really shouldn’t be using on a superior (this rule is applicable to any workplace but the Bureau). “There is a compatible guide–”
“No.” Choi cuts him off. “Bronze. There isn’t a compatible guide with us right now.”
Jaekwan’s lips purse together. “Stop being stubborn–”
“I am not,” Choi snaps, the energy in him pulsing to life with the loosened grip on his irritation. “Letting that director guide me.”
Ho Yuwon is a (fake!) guide, Choi is an esper dancing on the edge of a rampage, and between them, there’s too little like to form reason.
Ho Yuwon takes the backhand with little grace, tumbling to his back and bringing Choi down with him. Spitefully, he drops his elbow down hard into Ho Yuwon’s ribcage, savoring the wheeze that comes out.
The blood trickles, pooling into the hollows of his collarbone, dark red stark against pale skin. “Such a brute. Isn’t an esper supposed to show respect and consideration towards their guide?”
“You’ve got it wrong.” Choi wipes his blood on Ho Yuwon’s shoulder. He didn’t look too bad in red. “It’s the other way around.”
