Summary
Six months after Myriad, Wilde receives word that an unconscious Sasha Racket has been found at the bottom of an archaeological site in Rome: more than two years after her supposed "death". To re-orient Sasha back into the world (and investigate other reports of people coming back from the dead), Wilde invites Zolf, Hamid, and Azu to stay at his inn. They're hardly a happy family - each have their own secrets and motivations, and the stagnation leaves Zolf furiously impatient.
Around all this, the world staggers to recover from the abrupt lack of magic and breakdowns in communication - and not all of them have their eyes towards the future. Some desperately want someone to blame for what happened, and soon, Wilde becomes aware of a revolutionary group that wants their heads. Despite the maelstrom of uncertainty, Wilde can always rely on his team.
