“God, you just don’t get it, do you?” Peter exploded, throwing his mask on the counter next to his empty plate. “I don’t want you to pull any strings! I don’t want to go to MIT.”
Tony’s brows drew together for a moment, a protest on his lips, but held it in. MIT and the Stark name were practically synonymous. And yeah, it hurt a little that Peter didn’t want to follow in his footsteps but it wasn’t the end of the world or anything. Hell, Tony had spent the majority of his life trying to escape his father’s shadow, he couldn’t very well blame his kid for wanting the same thing.
“Okay, okay, that’s fine kid,” Tony took a deep breath. “Just tell me where you do want to go. We can make it happen.”
“No, no Dad that’s not…” Peter shook his head, pushing his hands into his hair and yanking slightly. He sighed. “I don’t want to go to college. At all.”

When Spiderman still made no move to say anything, Tony stuck out his hand.
"Good to meet you Spiderman."
Spiderman finally moved, his head dipped infinitesimally and his goggles stared at Tony's outstretched hand.
A heartbeat later Tony was flat on his back, his facenosemouth a kaleidoscope of pain and stars, Steve was yelling and Spiderman was jumping off the balcony.
OR : [The snap only lasted a year, and maybe it wasn't perfect, but it was the best year of Peter's life and he doesn't understand why Iron Man had to bring everyone back and ruin it all.]
