Summary
With the death of Morax, Xiao is as one untethered for the first time in his long life, and he finds himself at odds with his newfound freedom, unsure of how to reach out or indeed, how to be reached by those who hold out their hands to him.
A Xiao character exploration and growth fic, mostly centered around his developing relationship with Lumine, but Venti has a larger part to play than is first evident, and Morax is ever watching from afar.

Summary
Omori has always been the underdog of the family.
Despite their claims that they love him all the same, when push comes to shove, they have always abandoned him. A formative failure he endured during his childhood has left him broken so many years later, and his life doesn’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. The few people who do offer him their help, he can only push away. A vagabond within a broken home, a stray within a supposedly supportive family.
Now left alone in a dark, vacant house with only Mewo to keep him company, Omori has little to distract himself from everything he hates about himself. But one night, a fateful encounter with a mysterious stranger grips his heart and forces him to confront his life’s philosophy.

There is nothing certain in life but death and taxes.
As such, you live in a reality where the Norse gods are real and live among men on Earth, and you are a depression and anxiety survivor at the very end of her rope. You summon Loki, the God of Death himself, and parlay with him to reap your soul, as you feel you have no reason to live anymore and would rather serve at his side in the afterlife. Loki meets you and is both intrigued and horrified by your request. Instead of agreeing to kill you, he makes a wager with you: if he can convince you through debate that life is worth living by sunrise, then he will not kill you and you will never commit suicide on your own for the rest of your life. But if he can't convince you by sunrise, then he will fulfill your request and end your life for good. Loki/Reader AU.
