Summary
The platform is stable now, Vi knows. Before, it had begun to peel from the central column; there had been more weight to cause the dangerous shift.
Now, it’s just her.
In the aftermath of the Battle of the Arcane, Vi grieves as she struggles with belonging in Zaun after what people now call the Greying. Caitlyn has to grapple with the weight of her mistakes in order to forge a path forward. Ekko has been clinging to the past as he finds himself torn between his righteous anger and forgiving his oldest friend. Sevika wishes to make Zaun a better place to live in, but her past alliances cause her to believe she's better suited as a grunt than as a leader.
The four of them find themselves begrudgingly entangled as they attempt to change Piltover and Zaun for the better.

Summary
Then, she approaches the punching bag. It’s seen some damage but it’s nothing like the sand bags she’d wail on as a kid or the dingy thing she’d scrounged up in her pitfighter days. It’s in House Kiramman’s colors, blue and gold, with the family crest printed on the shiny leather.
Vi touches the surface in astonishment.
She’s never seen boxing equipment so…neat. So well-kept.
“There you are,” Cait’s voice pipes from the hallway, surprised and still groggy. Her hair is still a mess, and she’s wearing her robe over her slip. “I’ve been looking for you.”
“Whose was this?” Vi blurts. “I – I didn’t know this was here.”
“Oh,” Caitlyn says, “it was my mother’s.”
Vi finds a room in Kiramman manor that she's never seen before.

It can’t be the way it was, Vi thinks bitterly. The way she thought it could be. What could have been if she’d kissed her then, in her bed, when they both knew there was something between them? If she’d answered her pleas under the rain and returned with her? If they’d stayed a little longer in that tunnel where they first kissed, lingered in one another’s warmth for a moment, and realized there was too much to lose over a foolhardy cause? The thought burns in her mind – a future with Caitlyn, imagined a million times in a million different ways, now impossible.
The footsteps slow, and suddenly, she feels Caitlyn there, close by.
Here she is, to tell Vi what she needs to hear, what she knows is true. How daft she is for putting her hope in anything, anyone, after all that’s happened; for thinking she could change anything or have anything; for thinking she’s worth even the smallest crumb. It was Caitlyn who taught her that change is possible and that she might actually be worth something, but now, now –
“You really think I needed all the guards at the Hexgates?”
