Summary
Isoda Mion had ridiculously shitty luck for as long as they can remember. Sometimes it’s subtle; like getting caught in the rain and forgetting their umbrella, getting sick every other time they make plans, or the luck of getting the last empty seat on the bus only to find out the person they're sitting next to is actually a creep on the run (which has happened more times than you may expect). Other times it’s more drastic; like when someone says break a leg and then mere moments later they actually do, or making a silly joke about being indestructible and then immediately making a collision with a stray basketball during gym. Isoda Mion has fallen victim to it all, learning to brush it off with a shrug and continuing on like it's nothing.
Their friends help for the most part; being there to help them with the aftermath of their ‘luck’. Mion always urged them that stopping the issue itself is no use; Bad luck doesn’t just stop, it just hits you harder. It's not until Hirose Shingo collides with their life that bad luck seems to cease all together. Summary
Outside, wind whistles through the bones of giants. The ashen ground is stirred into eddies of dust, sanding away the titanic skeletons littering the valley micrometer by micrometer. The heavy steel doors that guard your hive's entrance are built to withstand enormous forces from the creatures that wander this area, but they are not airtight, and the whistling finds its way in. It carries down the long hallways of your hive, ringing faintly in your ears as you watch the timer on your centrifuge, but you don't even notice it. It will take more than a persistent noise in the back of your mind to distract you.
