Summary
As he creeps through their dark apartment, Akutagawa's feet drag across the floor. A full day of overseeing market deals and an unexpected gang threatening the Black Lizards. Akutagawa couldn't let bugs undermine his squadron like that so discipline was obviously necessary. His bones and muscles ache for his partner now. The coat on his back feels heavy and at 2am, but the dirt and grime from the day can wait until tomorrow morning.
One year ago, Akutagawa had never dreamed of homesickness, but when he opens the bedroom door to Atsushi reading by the lamplight in bed, he is home.

Finals week.
No one has ever said they're a fan of finals week. Higuchi thinks that would be an original thought if someone was actually a fan. It's a gladiator ring of stress and citations. She's going a bit stir crazy studying and doing essay prep and idiotic group project and office hours; it's becoming a bit much. Higuchi lives in the library now.

“His birthday comes every year, you know,” Akutagawa comments unhelpfully when he steps into the cafe kitchen. There’s flour dusted from the counter top to the floor in one corner and stacks of sandwiches and snacks shoved into another. There were about a million dirty spoons and piping bags surrounding her with a dirty mixing bowl just out of sight too.
“Humor isn’t your strong suit,” Lucy groans, not looking away from the cake. Her wrists were sore and her eyes were giving her a headache, but she couldn’t stop; it had to be perfect.

There's an air of dust and age seeping out of the walls of binders in here. The metal shelves here probably hold more information than the local library. Sigma would know. They wrote them. After the events of the airport, Sigma woke up with a job. They were instructed, interrogated, and tortured for the record every memory of Fyodor Dostoevsky from start to finish.
All the files are condensed and organized in their humble little storage closet. The survival of all of humanity relies on their ability. Their life's purpose is either in this shitty closet or destroyed with the rest of the Sky Casino.
Their own personal files are a measly two pages.
