Summary
The first time Will felt that something was seriously wrong with him, he did what he thought was best, which is absolutely nothing. It was hands-down the worst decision he’d ever made, and considering how his life turned out, that was saying something.
If he’d just opened his mouth, said something—anything—it might’ve saved him from being possessed for the next year and a half.
Or
November 6, 1987. Will disappears for seven days, then comes back alive but possessed. Mike takes his sweet time connecting the dots, but once he does, he’s definitely not okay with this information.

“That’s not my favorite.”
“Oh.” Will blinks. “What is?”
Mike’s tongue darts out to wet his lower lip. “O negative.” Will feels a flush move across his entire body. His magic hums inside of him, excited. His fingers twitch against the carton. Maybe Will was wrong, maybe this is different than having a favorite kind of pizza. More personal. O negative sits differently in Will’s head than double black olives with extra cheese does. More intimate.
“Oh.” Will blinks again. And maybe O negative sits differently in Will’s head, because it also flows through his veins. He feels obligated to tell Mike. “I’m O negative.”
Mike’s pupils widen again. “I know.” His voice is low, gravelly.
Will’s breath hitches again. “You know?” He flinches when Mike’s fingers graze his, peeling the carton out of Will’s hand.
Mike takes a deep breath. “I can smell it.”
Or, five times that Will offered Mike his blood and the one time that Mike accepted.

Summary
"He’s not actually sick, not exactly.” Joyce's voice is steady, but her clear stress shows, “He presented, Mike.”
She gives him a comforting smile as he blinks. Just blinks, unable to do much else. He doesn’t notice his throat is dry until he speaks and it comes out quiet, crackly. “What?”
“He went into his first heat overnight. I really should have seen the signs, it’s just so uncommon at sixteen. I wasn’t even thinking of it.”
Something's up with Will. Their friends say Mike is crazy, but if anyone knows Will, it's Mike. When Will presents as an omega two years earlier than most people should, Mike can't even gloat about being right, because he's suddenly being sent into overdrive at Will's newfound distress at the situation. But Mike will make it right, he'll keep him safe. That's his job, and he takes pride in it.

Summary
Mike huffs, letting go of Will’s hair so his head drops back toward the sheets. He stands up straight, looming over him.
“Then what is it, huh?”
He doesn’t even know why he’s so jealous, he doesn’t have the right to be anymore. But the way Will lets out a long, needy whine doesn’t help his self-control.
“It was me,” Will stutters. “I thought about you every now and then. I... I needed it to help my fingers fit, to stretch myself out. I wanted it to be you so bad.”
Or,
On his 21st birthday, Mike finds an envelope waiting outside his apartment door, and inside is a picture of his ex-boyfriend wearing nothing but yellow lingerie, paired with a note that says, Happy Birthday.
So yeah. Naturally, there’s only one reasonable decision here:
Go to his house and fuck him.
