“Lindsay knew you were getting too close. When she realized you liked her, she manipulated you into thinking the feeling was mutual.” A part of her knew Shawn wouldn’t want to hear any of this, but it was too important to let go. “If you had known the truth, you… wouldn’t have slept with her.”
Realization fell over both of them. Juliet wasn’t sure if they reached the same conclusion, but for her, saying everything out loud connected the dots. The situation was a lot worse than she originally thought. She squeezed his hands before delicately rubbing his sore knuckles with her thumbs.
“That’s assault, Shawn.”

I was just thinking, the SBPD must have missed a ton of things before Shawn started working with them. So many murders dismissed as accidents, cold cases waiting to be solved, ect.
So, during a bout of ADHD insomnia, Shawn heads to the police station in the middle of the night to take a solo look at the records room. He wasn't expecting, however, for Lassie to find him. Maybe he won't be flying solo after all.

“It’s not my fault that your pens are just chewable, Lassie.” Shawn crossed his arms defensively.
“My pens aren’t chewable, you just have a screw loose in your head.”“Probably,” Shawn admitted easily. He knew that. “But I need writing utensils, and you have more than enough. Maybe you should consider not being greedy.”
“I’m not greedy, they’re–” Lassie sputtered, considering the entire argument to be ridiculous. “They’re my supplies. I don’t owe you anything, especially when you chew on everything I give you.”
Shawn giggled at the dirty joke that popped into his head at that comment, but pushed it down. It was maybe not the time to bring that up.
