“Surprise, Patrick! Welcome to America’s only museum dedicated exclusively to Medieval art. We can stay until they close, there’s nothing else on the schedule until dinner.”
“I know you have so much planned for this trip. Are you sure?”
“Am I sure that I want to spend the day at a museum watching my husband beam with joy and excitement like a kid on Christmas morning? Yes, yes I am.” David answered, nodding vigorously.
On Patrick's first trip to New York City, David surprises him with a visit to the Met Cloisters.

Summary
David lets his fingers trail across the smooth black and white keys. The wood of the case and the keybed are chipped in places, and the metal of the sustain pedal is worn, but all things considered, the piano seems to be in good shape. He picks out a scale to check the tuning, his fingers operating purely on muscle memory. It has nothing on the sound of the Steinway grand that used to sit in the Rose mansion, but it’s still nice enough to make for a good anniversary present for Patrick, who recently told David that he missed playing.
“It should be in good shape. I don’t play, myself, but my daughter does,” Mr. McCreary says. “Do you play?”
David looks down and smiles sadly at the keys.
“Not anymore.”
David was a talented pianist as a kid, but gave it up because of family pressure. Several years into their marriage, Patrick helps him rediscover his love for playing.

Such a beautiful and heartbreaking story where David rediscovers his love for the piano with Patrick's gentle support. Excellent confrontation with the Roses where David stands up for himself and a sweet duet at the end. Gorgeous writing!

With a grimace he lifts the top bun off the burger and sure enough, there are three offending slices of pickle in the middle of the burger. He picks them off and puts them on the side of his plate, and only after he’s returned the bun to its rightful place does he look up to see David watching him, his whole face a study in barely concealed amusement.

Summary
Patrick Brewer has a lot of demons to deal with. He has come to terms with his own sexuality which has awakened his carnal desires. He craves physical intimacy with his boyfriend, David Rose, but Patrick needs to deal with the weight of Catholic Guilt to move forward.
David has been patient, and hopefully, with the help of his therapist, his family and his found family, Patrick can claim the happy ending he so desperately wants for himself.

Fantastic continuation of Conversion universe. Patrick goes to therapy, grows so incredibly much as a person, gets the coming out he deserves and has hot, tender sex with David. So well written. I adore these versions of David and Patrick!

Summary
Patrick Brewer had grown up within the confines of the Catholic church.
He was baptised in the nave of the St Celeste church, received his first holy communion in tandem with his cousins and attended the small primary school adjacent to it until he was old enough for high school. He then joined his cousins and the other children of the town, travelling thirty minutes by bus to Ingleside to attend the Catholic high school, where the cohorts were split by gender.
When he wins a coveted Baseball Scholarship to play and study at the University of Toronto, he is matched with an enigmatic roommate, David Rose. David upends Patrick's life (in the best possible way) and takes him on a journey of self-discovery he hadn't realised he desperately needed.

Phenomenal story about Patrick coming to terms with his sexuality and reconciling that with his religious beliefs. David is an emotionally intelligent, fantastic friend throughout. Marcy and Clint are amazing as always and Schitt's Creek is a haven for all our beloved characters. Difficult subject matter written with such love and compassion in the true spirit of Schitt's Creek.
