    Summary

“The Witch is In” read the sign on the door.

Except that she wasn’t answering, no matter how many times Robin knocked or called out. The lanky girl adjusted her beaten jean jacket and shifted the small package further under her arm. She glanced around at the surroundings of the cottage again as she breathed a puff of warm air into her frigid fingers.

It was the beginning of autumn and the air had already begun to chill and smell of decaying leaves. The oak and maple trees surrounding the small shack were just starting to change colors from greens and yellows, to deep shades of oranges and reds. Leaning against one such tree lay Robin’s bike, still bearing the remaining packages for the rest of her route.

She had hoped to be done delivering the mail before nightfall, but she’d had difficulty finding the correct road to the village witch, and was now behind schedule. To make matters worse, she needed a signature to deliver the package, and the witch was nowhere to be found.

Robin didn't expect her first meeting with the village witch to go like this.

    Summary

Clarke is only three days into being a runaway when she realizes that she did not fully think this through. When she walked away from Camp Jaha, she took only herself, a handgun with limited ammunition, and the gnawing guilt inside her. Three days without food, water, fresh clothing, or bedding of any kind, however, and she is painfully aware of how foolish that decision had been.

    Summary

She watched Mike as he finally levelled with her, both elbows on the table. There was no point in trying to distract him any further. She’d been increasingly all over the place in trying to hide how the aftermath was treating her over the last few weeks and in that moment she sensed the jig was finally up.

“Nance, I’m kind of worried about you.”

    Summary

Robin rolls her head lazily towards her, moonlight illuminating each freckle on her face. To compare them to constellations is cliché, Nancy knows, but the reflection of Ursa Minor in her eyes matches the cluster on her cheek and she can’t help but think Robin might be composed of something otherworldly, a being of stardust.

Thirty minutes ago, she was suffocating on Steve’s couch while watching Tom Hanks drive a shiny Porsche into a lake. Now, she’s at the peak of Hawkins, bare-legged in the grass, clutching the jacket of a girl she thinks she might be falling in love with.

(Isn’t it funny, how quickly things change?)

    Summary

"Gross, dude," Robin muttered, but she was distracted by Nancy, who was evidently distracted by a woman who had just walked into the bar. Older, mid forties maybe. Short dark hair. Conservative kind of business-y outfit. Robin didn't recognize her. She was more concerned at the moment with the furrow in Nancy's brow, and the urge to press her thumb just there to smooth it out. Leave a thumbprint behind as evidence. Robin Buckley was here.

"Hey. Steve," Nancy said, eyes not leaving the woman at the bar. "How about you try... spreading the Gospel, I guess... to her?" She gestured at the woman. "She's one of Owens' people. Agent... Stinson I think. She's obviously off-duty, she might be open to it?"

    Summary

And then, soft, cloudy lips pressed against her jaw. This time, Imogen could do nothing to hide the hitch in her breath. "You don't have to suppress yourself, you do enough of that all day. Please, don't do it with me too. You deserve to let go every once in a while"

"Ok" Imogen would have agreed to anything Laudna had asked of her in that moment, as long as she kept touching her like this, and speaking to her like that.

    "Good girl"
