Leonard McCoy is three weeks into a one-year residency in the best damned hospital in the Alpha Quadrant and he doesn’t know how he’ll survive. The Vulcans seem to find him distasteful at best, utterly ignorable at worst. He feels lonely and lost until his roommate M’Benga takes him down to the market just for something to do. He finds himself drawn to the soulful sweet sounds of lyre playing and meets a tall, awkward Vulcan with stunning brown eyes and long clever fingers who seems to be the only person who’s actually feeling anything around here.
