“Sanji took great pride in his cooking.
Nearly every dish that he made showcased this fundamental fact. Even something as simple as a bowl of cereal and milk had cut up fruit laid on top, arranged just so. His recipes came from love, and were perfect every time. Luffy really had found the best cook in the East Blue for his crew.
But, as plain and clear as that was, there was one crew member who’s opinion contested the quality of Sanji’s cooking. Who, when the rest of the crew were oohing and aahing over a new dish, laying heavy compliments on the chef, would remain silent. And when asked how it was, would respond with a simple shrug, and reply “Pretty okay. For his cooking, anyway.”
Ironically, as the runner up to Luffy’s enormous appetite, Zoro was staunchly critical of Sanji’s cooking.
It drove Sanji insane.”
