“Bye,” Eddie mumbles distantly, and when Buck finally manages to open his eyes again, Eddie is halfway out the door already.
Puzzled, he just stands there, listens to the slam of the door and the starting of the truck outside, his mind spinning and his lips still tingling.

“Canadians,” Ilya groans, “I want to see you in pink. Pretty in pink, yeah?” He shoves his hand into the toque and waggles his fingers around. Like a sock puppet. Or like--Ilya smirks.
Shane is aware that he’s physically breathing, but he can’t feel any oxygen actually going to his brain. His vision is narrowing on the pink until it’s all he can see. It’s pink like women’s clothing is pink, not the salmon or beige ties in his gameday closet. It’s pink like a man isn’t. “I, uh, okay. Yeah.”
