Just as he finished setting up the link, the screen flashed a few times before going dark. The buzz of the pod sputtered to a stop, like an old truck on its last few miles of life. Not a healthy comparison.
Jake frowned, but before he could even think to whack some sense back into the machine, the lights came back on, and all the link data came rushing back to the screen.
Okay, then.
He glanced wearily over his shoulder, almost expecting Norm to appear out of nowhere to tell him he’d set the machine up wrong. He knows he did it right - but it’d never done that, before.

Ezra thanked God for the opportunity to hug someone like this again. He’s had a few hugs since he’s been on board in the past year, but none quite like this one. He felt his limbs starting to grow heavier and a warm heat that seemed to want to encompass him and lull him to sleep.
He thinks that’s what may have happened as he opened his eyes to see the familiar ceiling of his bunk, littered with wobbly drawings of lothcats.

Ezra didn’t know how this whole crew thing worked, but the picture he got appeared pretty comparable to the street gangs on Lothal. Those Ezra understood. Hera was the leader and Kanan was her second in command. Sabine, Zeb, and Chopper were the seasoned members and Ezra was the new kid and thus at the bottom of the food chain. Easy.
OR
5 times Ezra misunderstood the ghost crew and the 1 time everyone else caught on.
