Summary
Hitoshi flies back to Japan on New Year's Eve. He crosses eight time zones in twelve hours, like he's trying to fast-forward through the last day of December and leave his colossal fuck-up behind in a different year as well as in another country.
It doesn't work. His plane lands with a light snowfall just before eleven, and everything follows him home.
Pro hero Nighthide returns home for the new year.

Summary
It should probably rankle a bit that it took Umemiya's interference to get Takiishi to pay attention to him, but if Yamato is being honest, it doesn't. At the end of the day, he's the one Takiishi is looking at. The one he finds interesting—or wants to, anyway. Yamato doesn't particularly care about the means, just the end result, and the end result is almost too good to be true.
Maybe that makes him shallow, but Yamato already knew that. Maybe Takiishi is figuring it out too, now, but he doesn't seem to mind.
In the weeks following their war with Furin, Takiishi pays attention. Endo copes with that.
