This notebook screams witchcraft and magic, and if there is one thing that Dean knows, it’s that magic is bad and only bad people use magic. Magic is for sorcerers bent on sacrificing virgins or witches who raise the dead, not for sweet little brothers with puppy dog eyes. That shit kills anything it touches.
Sammy is not a killer.

“You had to choose,” he whispers, blood wet on his lips. Droplets spew when he speaks but neither seem to notice. There are bigger problems at hand.
“You had to choose between me and yourself,” it comes out more like a shaky statement than a question, but Theo can still see the uncertainty in Liam's eyes as tears begin to well up.
“How could you?”
The betrayal in Liam’s voice is like nails along chalkboards and the utter rawness of it makes Theo cringe.

“You’ve really never?” Will asks, finally pulling a box of matches out of his pocket, not the lighter Mike had been expecting. He tips the box of Marlboros out towards Mike again, and this time, he takes one, trying to pretend like the subtle weight of it is not as foreign in his hand as it feels. “Not even once?”
“No,” Mike says, trying to figure out whether he should be getting defensive or not. “Why? Is it that hard to believe?”
“I just figured, you know, it’s easier to bum a smoke off of somebody than it is to get your hands on some booze,” Will says thoughtfully. He tucks the cigarettes back into his pocket and plants both hands on the stack of hay behind him, taking a careful step onto the bale already resting by their feet — and then, when it holds his weight, he hoists himself up, legs swinging. “And you’ve done that, so.”
Will sneaks out for a smoke break. Mike decides to join him.

“It’s raining, Tech,” Tommy says again because he doesn’t get it and Tommy can’t understand what there is to get. “I like the rain.” Techno listens and Tommy stumbles closer, letting his brother catch him by his forearms. “I forgot I could feel like this,” he says, half laughing and half crying. “I forgot I liked the rain. I forgot I liked the rain, Technoblade. How could I forget this?”
Crimson eyes flick over Tommy’s face, searching for something, and Tommy can’t tell if he found it or didn’t with the way his grip just ever so slightly tightens. He tugs gently, frowning again, and glancing around the ruins-turned-garden he found Tommy in. “Alright, you’re gonna make yourself sick, come on, I’ll get you wherever you were going.”
