“Well, aren’t you eager?” Illuga teased, growing more comfortable in Flins’ arms.
“It is rather hard not to be, especially when it comes to you, Master Illuga,” Flins said with a bit of a sigh and more of a nuzzle against Illuga’s hair.
“Well, Sir Flins,” Illuga huffed an amused laugh, the nickname sounding foreign on his tongue after not being used for quite a while, “this Young Master would be most pleased if you showed the same excitement when it came to handing in your reports on time.”
The distance between them was so scarce that he could feel Flins tense behind him.

Summary
For the sake of bullshit government efficiency, countless American federal workers are let go from their jobs in the summer of 2025. It was only a matter of time before the Department of National Identity was hit, as no one knows what they actually do. Who would have thought this would set off a chain reaction leading to the reveal of... immortal personified country people who walk among us.
This is a story about government corruption, personal liberty, the power of collective strength, caring for your neighbor, and loving one another without giving a damn who sees it. Also, the Stamp Act of 1765.
Complete, updating on Tuesdays/Saturdays.
