Summary
Both Mike and Will are pushing down feelings but like the pipes at the MAC-Z, they can’t be held in forever and eventually rupture leading to long overdue conversations (cough cough the painting!) and confessions.

Mike is confused as fuck and stressing about his sexuality, while Will is trying his hardest to convince himself he’s over Mike (of course he’s not—these idiots can’t stay away from each other).
Mike does everything in his power to deny the truth he fears most: that he’s in love with his best friend, and that his relationship with El was nothing but fake. He tries to hide it, but someone helps him see that being different doesn’t have to be so scary.

Jeremy, Saint Jeremy, nudges him with an elbow. “He’s kind of private about it, but Mike actually has someone back home.”
Mike turns his head to look at Jeremy, expecting a knowing smile or the hint of a wink. But Jeremy actually looks sincere, which makes Mike’s eyebrows sink down, almost to the top of his nose.

Steve falls asleep on the carpet, head tipped back against the old couch. Jonathan debates waking him. Doesn’t. He drapes a blanket over him instead, careful not to touch too much.
Steve murmurs something in his sleep. Jonathan’s name, maybe. Maybe not.
Jonathan sits on the edge of the couch and listens to Steve breathe until the tightness in his chest eases just a fraction.
He doesn’t question any of it.
He’s tired of questioning things.
