Summary
Izuku arrives at school dazed, beaten up and broken. Aizawa takes him to Recovery Girl, then the hospital, then home.
Said home becomes Izuku's too, of course, because what's one more kid when you've already got two? And his Problem Child needs someone, anyone, who cares, who will accept him and love him.And so, over the course of several days Izuku is shown, again and again, that he is loved. That he is safe to love who he wants, to be nerdy and vulnerable and kind and simply himself in any measure he should choose. Now he has a family to show him that.

“It was a kid,” Yagi gasped out. He had his hand balled up into a fist and the fist pressed to his lips, as if to remind himself that he could not start screaming. “Or. Young person, maybe 20. Homeless, I think. Activated their Quirk on reflex and then ran. The kids—” Here, he pressed his fist harder to his mouth, sucked in a wheezing breath, as if the air itself was pushing down something with physical weight. “The kids—”
“Scattered immediately,” Aizawa finished for him, and Yagi managed a nod.
Yagi’s eyes were so dilated that the blue was almost invisible. He shook violently. He looked like a scarecrow in a windstorm.
Someone activated a Fear-Inducer Quirk so powerful that it reduced All Might to this— of course Aizawa’s class had bolted.

Summary
The USJ attack is awful and traumatic, and it goes worse than anyone could have predicted.But then it happens again, and again, and again, with Izuku and Aizawa caught right in the bloody, cycling centre of it.

Regardless, he needs to think now. Because yesterday was a carbon copy of the day before, excluding a few little conversation changes like people asking if he was okay and then things that changed because of his own actions, but Aizawa-sensei still died and then he threw himself in front of Asui and died, and then everything went black and he woke up to his All Might alarm again and-
And Izuku doesn't know what to do.

They both move the few inches to squeeze their hands together then, feeling the bloodstains that aren't there right now, but, more than that, feeling the body heat-warmth and knowing that the other is alive, present, with them. Right now, for a few moments, they're okay.
