Summary
Roy learned long ago not to put faith in fate, destiny, or any grand cosmic plan; such notions are easily hijacked by charismatic lunatics with rage in their hearts and blood on their hands. He should know. Debts, on the other hand, are concrete. Solid.
This might explain why his first few months in Gotham vanish in a haze of miserable, bacchanalian excess. Things like him need a leash—or a heavy boulder to roll uphill—lest the demons in their hearts escape and devour the world. With no real purpose on the horizon, drinking and drugging his days away seemed like the safest option for everybody. Then Bruce Wayne saved him—and had the nerve to be interesting about it—and Roy has to consider that there might be more for him here than a short drop and a sudden stop.

Llamallamaduck's cold and calculating pretty boy PoVs are very well suited to Roy's whole *gestures* everything.
Also the circumstance of 'incaculably dangerous former warcriminal military dictator genius magician' playing by American inefficient beaureaucratic judicial system because interesting prettyboy-with-a-secret gave the faintest implication he would prefer court-of-law solutions is so very funny.

Summary
Caroline is stretching out on the couch in Klaus’s bedroom like the worlds biggest drunkest iguana finding the best sunning spot on the rock. By that she means she is burrowing her feet into the area where the cushions meet and into the space behind Klaus. Once she has finished her re-adjustment and is laying half off the couch which might actually be a chaise because she can’t quite remember the difference between the two at the moment, it is then that Caroline gestures from Klaus to hand her back her champagne glass. She cranes her neck into an awkward angle to drink.
She’s staring at Klaus’s lips is the thing. He’s talking about the difference’s between acrylic and enamel paint and all Caroline can think is that he is beautiful even from her neck craning angle. She tells him.
