things that happened at the hollyberry ball when i played cello there this year:
- mint choco said i was a brilliant player
- hollyberry came onstage to dance with pitaya and her ass was in my face
- eternal sugar spilled wine on my suit and i said thank you
- literal faerie (i still can’t believe those aren’t urban legend tbh) told me i looked elegant
- i waved to espresso and he didn’t wave back
- girlfriend met linzer cookie and got an autograph on her arm that i totally wont make her wash off
- shadow milk possessed me midway through playing to change the song and i genuinely couldn’t move or breathe until he finished dancing it was the most terrifying experience of my entire life i almost pissed myself
- i did shots with mozzarella cookie

someone on twizzler said that shadow milk purposefully initiated that kiss because he wanted something to distract from the vanilla sugar incident, so obviously their relationship must be faked. but what does he get out of doing this? by now most of us have inferred that vanilla sugar said something about either him or pure vanilla that night, but shadow milk chose to have that dance be public and he chose to let everyone see it. i don’t think he’s concerned about whether or not people know he’s responsible.
the only reason i could see him doing this would be to protect pure vanilla’s reputation, since it’s obviously marred by association and has been actively combusting since shadow milk started living in the vanilla kingdom. it’s kind of a hopeless attempt, i think, but after spending the past month understanding very little about their relationship, i don’t feel so lost about why they’re together anymore. there might be love there, even if they're the only ones who know.
