BNHA Angst Week 2019 - Day 2
Rain // ColdToshinori curls his arms around his abdomen and lays down on his side, bringing his legs up onto the cushion next to him and blinking rapidly in an effort to steady his blurring vision. There’s a sharp throb of instinct, telling him there’s something terribly wrong, just before a sudden wave of drowsiness washes over him and sweeps it away. He nuzzles into the cushion beneath him and lets his eyelids droop closed, plunging him into the depths of unconsciousness.

Puttering around his apartment is Toshinori's new normal, now that he's retired. But there's something wrong with him today - he's disoriented and in pain, and he can't for the life of him figure out why.
But someone needs to... and fast.

Choice // WishThe Star Festival was always a bright spot in Izuku's life, one day each year where his mom and him would set aside all their worries, dress up, enjoy the festival, and make a wish.
This year, Izuku had friends to go with, and the same wish he'd been writing down each year since he was four had miraculously come true, but all he could think about since he'd asked Iida what he'd wished for was the curt reply and closed-off expression on his friend's face he'd gotten in response before Iida disappeared into the crowd. Hours later, worry still aching in his chest, Izuku glimpsed Iida alone in a clearing, tears rolling down his cheeks, and couldn't stop himself from intervening.

As the police rush to find the boy's attacker, Shouta suddenly finds himself in a position to care for a child who is scared, traumatized and in desperate need of a parental figure. It’s only temporary he tells himself. At least, that’s the plan.
As each new turn in the investigation continues to add complication after complication, Shouta finds himself increasingly concerned for his young charge – and unwilling to give up a responsibility he wasn’t sure he wanted in the first place.
