Sharp slanted eyes flicked up to meet Hoseok’s, and all at once, everything stood still. It was as if time itself had stopped as a surge of energy ran between them, and Hoseok found himself completely unable to look away from the dark eyes now widening in shock as they stayed locked on to his.
It was like looking at a familiar stranger, except with each heartbeat that their eyes stayed connected, the feeling of familiarity only seemed to grow and intensify. He had been drifting alone, a single thread of color weaved into a dark tapestry, but now he found himself joined by another thread of enrapturing color that somehow matched his own, and the two were woven together seamlessly like they had never been two but always joined as one.
“You… you are my soulmate?” Hoseok croaked, his voice barely a whisper, at the same time as the hybrid let out in a disbelieving breath, “...No way...” a trembling hand pressed against his right collarbone.

Since waking up at 3:30 from a leak in his apartment ceiling, 21-year-old broke college student Jimin has:
Worried over financial issues, fretted over his upcoming dance exhibit, agonized over his grades, and thrown up from stress. Ambitiously trying to break his record for how much anguish he can achieve in a night, he also tried to work up the courage to call his grandparents only to chicken out and cry in shame.
It is now 6:00 a.m. Taehyung, his angel (and platonic soulmate), is exhausted.
Of all the humans he could've been assigned to, why does he end up with a cursed one? Maybe Jimin isn’t the only one down on his luck.
(Or, Taehyung is a devoted angel who works hard to lessen a cursed Jimin’s strife as much as he can. But when he grows exhausted and depressed watching Jimin suffer, Jungkook is there to show him that sometimes, angels need angels too.
And it’s only a little ironic that Jungkook’s a demon.)
