Summary
Shimazaki is not a changed man.
No matter how much he pretends to be sweet and obedient. No matter how much his Handlers praise him. No matter the increasing number of vacation days he gets every year; he has not changed. Boredom consumes the seconds and minutes of his everyday hours, a slow irritation festering beneath his skin, a thrum of annoyance ringing louder in his ears as time continues to pass.
It’s no wonder, really, that he ends up back on streets late at night, scouring the dingiest alleys and darkest, coldest nooks for a good fight. Or at least, for someone to give him a run for his money.
Change, they say, is a good thing. Shimazaki isn’t so sure.
