It began during the train ride, when Ron and Hermione argued until she left the compartment with her bag and Crookshanks and looked for a new one. She finally found the one where Draco and Harry were sitting, and what Hermione would never have thought possible... Crookshanks, who wouldn't let anyone touch him, lay down on Draco's lap after about half an hour and let himself be stroked.
