Summary
The Sludge Villain doesn't find Bakugo after escaping All Might, but some other random civilian. There's no series of explosions to draw All Might to the scene of the second attack. It's by pure luck that Izuku stumbles upon them. And Izuku does what he always has when he sees one person hurting another: inserts himself between the aggressor and victim. He finds this is significantly harder to do when one of the parties is a sentient slime.

For some reason, this means yokai have a standing invitation to pester Izuku with their existence. Birds assemble choirs for his birthday. If there’s no cedar leaf under the welcome mat, the amazake babaa that lives two apartments over will be knocking on their door by evening. His yokai-purifying excursions get mistaken for vigilantism far too often.
(What’s going on with All Might? Is Principle Nedzu a yokai? Tokoyami, could you please get Dark Shadow to stop calling me ‘my Lord’?)

Bakugou Katsuki doesn't have a problem. Sure, he's obsessed with numbers, and yeah, he might use punching bags as an outlet and okay, he might still be ignoring his childhood best friend after five years of him trying to mend their friendship, but he's fine. He doesn't need people and he doesn't want friends, but he can't ignore the past any longer when Deku gets hired on at his job. Suddenly he's dealing with Midoriya, his weird friend with the split dyed hair and heterochromia, Bakugou's roommate who's trying a little too hard to be his therapist, a grumpy guy with deep dark circles who watched him vomit in a bathroom, and his coworker that the grumpy guy is a little (a lot) obsessed with. All Bakugou knows for sure is that he doesn't have the time or mental capacity to handle all of this unearthed trauma.
The angsty traumatized Bakugou college AU that no one asked for except me. So I wrote it.

There was another mutant-type quirk he wanted Deku to possess, no matter how much it might cost his body and soul to do so.
