"Finally giving in, Buck dropped the weights and spun to face Diaz with a snarl. “What?”
“What, man?” Diaz replied taken aback, his eyes snapping up from Buck’s chest to his face quickly.
“Like what you see or something, Diaz?”
“Sorry, no.” Buck raised an eyebrow, strangely disappointed in his answer."
The story of two men trying, failing, and maybe eventually succeeding in navigating their developing relationship while life throws absolutely everything at them. From girlfriends to wives; bombs to natural disasters; a lot of angst and unbearable pining; can they get through all the hardships to come together?------

He also can’t exactly go licking himself, either— not because he isn’t able to, but because when one is under the mentorship of Batman, one of the aforementioned greatest detectives on Earth, one is likely to be questioned if an injury just vanishes. The first time one of Tim’s battle wounds seems to heal all too quickly, Bruce startles him by asking about it.
“Uh,” Tim says eloquently, “Er. I suppose it just wasn’t that bad."
Bruce looks past him at the exact point on the floor of the Batcave where Tim had lost like a pint of blood the day before.
“Wasn’t that bad,” he echoes dryly.
[Tim just happens to be a very large, fire-breathing lizard. He manages, until he doesn't.]

While on patrol, Jason Todd finds a tiny, shivering puppy behind a dumpster. He can’t just leave it there. Bruce shouldn’t be the only one who can take in strays.
Tim Drake did not expect to be transformed into a dog while stalking Batman and Robin. He certainly didn’t expect Robin to take him home. Tim really should tell them he’s not actually a dog but they keep cuddling him and it’s not like anyone will notice he’s gone.
