"My name is Sakusa Kiyoomi. I'm a writer for a youth newspaper in Tokyo."
Silence.
"I've heard about you from my cousin. He plays volleyball too, I saw you at the match you had with Itachiyama. I go there."
Still, Atsumu doesn't look up.
"Miya-san, I saw you play. You were incredible."
But he doesn't even blink in response. Kiyoomi sighs, leaning back into the uncomfortable plastic seat.
"I can't lie, I've come here because everyone wants to know how a national level volleyball player, someone people thought would go pro would end up arrested for murder."

Summary
“Let’s never speak again,” Suguru smiles, pointing toward the door. “Have the day you deserve.”
His deskmate leans across him and sunnily calls, “He means, eat shit and die, motherf—”
Suguru wraps his hand over the other’s mouth, mindful of the fact that the teacher could enter at any moment now. “I’m Getou Suguru. What’s your name?”
“Gojo Satoru,” he introduces himself, pulling Suguru’s hand down and into a complicated handshake he clearly made up on the spot. Suguru follows along intuitively. “I’m your new best friend, Suguru.”

Summary
“A curse that hates humans but treats us like this?” Six-Eyes’ voice is lilted incredulously. “That’s even more interesting. It makes me wonder, y’know—you never did answer when I asked what could’ve made a curse like you.”
Suguru sighs, smile dropping ever-so-slightly. “It’s very rude,” he drawls, “to ask a curse their origin, especially if they’ve already denied answer.”
///OR: the one where Getō is a millennium-old curse with an abnormal amount of moral agency and Gojō is very, very interested

Summary
The boy shifts on his feet. “The year is two thousand and eighteen? Common Era?”
Slowly, smile still plastic on his face, Suguru faces Satoru. This fucking dumbass. “Satoru,” he says, dangerous edge to his voice, “what did you do?”
Satoru makes some bastardization of a sound, half between a laugh and a cough. “...Whoops?”
“I,” Suguru grits, pinching two fingers together, “am this close to mass murder.” He’s joking. Probably.
///OR: Shortly before Getō would have massacred a village, he and Gojō are thrust eleven years forward into a would-have-been future that Getō is conspicuously absent from.

Summary
“Well,” he said, voice low, unreadable, almost teasing. “This is a surprise.”
You swallowed the knot in your throat and turned around, not because you wanted to face him—but because the weight of his presence demanded it.
“Not really,” you tried to sound breezy. Light. Detached. “I was just dropping something off—”
Click.
The sound of the lock sliding into place was too deliberate. Too calm.
Zayne shrugged off his lab coat. The stark white fabric fell in slow motion over the back of the chair, and then he rolled his shoulders—tight, tired, tense. You watched his fingers unbutton his cuffs, rolling up his sleeves slowly, with practiced ease.
Curtains drawn. Room dimming. Silence folding over itself.
“I sincerely hope,” he murmured as he walked toward you, past you, pulling each curtain shut until the room felt private, secretive—dangerous, “it’s not another envelope.”
OR
An arranged marriage built on silence unravels into a love loud enough to echo—where a repressed heart finally claims what was always his.
