Summary
“This is normal, Felix, calm down.” Chan isn’t looking at Felix, he’s seated at Hyunjin’s head, his hands loosely cupping Hyunjin’s cheeks, and Hyunjin is shaking in his arms. It seems that one moment, Hyunjin is just trembling with a slight twitch in his lip and the next, he’s full-on shaking, limbs twitching and back arching as his head is pulled back by an invisible string.
“Oh my god.” Felix exclaims too loudly, jumping up to his feet and taking a few steps back. “Is he having a seizure?” He asks, frantically fumbling with his phone to tap in the emergency number.---

Summary
Hyunjin tries to be silent when opening the door, not wanting to startle Felix with any loud noises. The result is that he enters the room almost soundlessly.
It's clear that Felix didn’t hear him. He’s just a lump under his comforter, facing away from the door, and he’s letting out barely silenced, heartbreaking sobs. Hyunjin stands frozen just inside the door, not sure how to make his presence known. If Felix had heard him in the door, he would know that Hyunjin is here, but now Hyunjin has to make him aware, and no matter what it will startle him.---
Early on in their relationship, something happens to Felix, but he isolates himself rather than seeking out Hyunjin's comfort

Summary
“I want to break up.” Hyunjin whispers, avoiding Felix’s eyes. It comes out all wrong, his brain twisting up the words on the way out. He doesn’t want to, he has to, he’s given no other choice.
“What?” Felix scoffs, probably hoping he misheard or Hyunjin misspoke, but Hyunjin shakes his head, blinking rapidly to hold the tears back.
“We can’t be together.” Hyunjin says, watching the words slowly sink in for Felix. When they do, Felix takes a step back, letting go of Hyunjin’s hands with so much pain on his face, Hyunjin wants to drop to his knees and plead for forgiveness, but he knows has to do this. He can’t back out now.---
Hyunjin breaks up with Felix because of the dating ban

“Hyun-ie?” Felix crouches down in front of him, a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Is it your stomach?” Hyunjin nods, not trusting his voice.
They’re called back into positions, the music starting up again soon after. Hyunjin pushes aside how he feels, locks it away behind a wall in his head as he dances. But the moment the music stops, he’s back in the crouch on the floor, clutching his stomach.
“Is it that bad, Hyun-ie?” Felix asks, once again back at his side. Hyunjin just nods again, focusing on breathing through the pressure in his throat.---
Fevers already mess with your body, add epilepsy on top of that and you have a perfect recipe for seizures.

Summary
“Can you get Chan or someone? And stay there with Seungmin.” Felix says to Jeongin, trying to keep the worry out of his voice. The younger nods and takes off down the hall in search of their members. Felix turns his attention back to Hyunjin, wiping carefully at his tears and trying to see if there are any visible injuries.
“Can you tell me where it hurts?” Felix asks gently, wondering if he’s even getting through to Hyunjin. The only response is another ‘hurts’ that he sobs around, the pain seemingly getting worse the more he wakes up.---

Summary
“I can practically hear your overthinking all the way over here.” Felix says, drawing a startled laugh from Hyunjin. He kind of wants to tell Felix that he can’t read thoughts no matter how loudly Hyunjin is thinking, but he knows that’s not what Felix means.
“I’m just distracting myself, thinking about something else.” Hyunjin says with a shrug. He didn’t realize how lost he was in thought until Felix pointed it out, but he stopped crying at some point, managing to get his mind to focus on something else.
“Overthinking about something else.” Felix corrects.
“Okay, fine, I’m overthinking.” Hyunjin says, and now he’s thinking about his medications again, fear gripping his throat. He doesn’t want to lose control again, he isn’t prepared for that yet, not for another couple of weeks.---
Hyunjin's epilepsy medication isn't delivered in time and Hyunjin is scared of having another flareup if he can't get them

Summary
“Let me guess, you’re a wreck without me?” Hyunjin finally says, a dumb smile on his face. Felix huffs a laugh, looking down at his lap for a moment before meeting Hyunjin’s gaze through the phone again.
“I wouldn’t call it a wreck.” Felix says with false confidence, already feeling himself relax a little at the sight of Hyunjin. He almost cries at the thought that this might be all they get for the next however long. But he can’t ruin his makeup, not this close to stage call.
“What would you call it then?” Hyunjin tests him, acting so normal that Felix almost thinks that it will be fine if this is all they get for a while. Felix’s biggest worry isn’t for himself or their relationship, he knows they’ll get through this distance, but he’s worried about Hyunjin. The stress of this whole situation can’t be good for his health.---
Is Hyunjin handling his hiatus while the group is on Kingdom: Legendary War as well as it seems?

Summary
“I’ll be okay.” Hyunjin says, shocked by how normal his voice sounds. It throws him off for a moment, how it doesn’t betray any of the storm clouds in his head. Before his mom can protest, he opens his door and gets out, turning to smile and wave in an attempt at convincing her that he really will be okay. He can tell that she isn’t convinced, but she lets him go.
He goes straight to the bathroom before clocking in, giving himself exactly one minute to fall apart, sobbing into his hands and shaking like a leaf before he pulls himself back together, splashing cold water on his face and blowing his nose. In the end, it doesn’t look like he’s cried.---
The hiatus was supposed to be a good thing, he was going to use it for something good, but that didn't happen.

“Are you okay?” Hyunjin asks, looking at Felix in a way that says he knows the answer to that question. Knowing him, he probably knows better than Felix how he feels.
“Did Minho hyung call you?” Felix asks, too tired to be mad at Minho for telling on him. Hyunjin just chuckles, answer enough for Felix. “What did he tell you?” He isn’t sure if he wants to know how pathetic Hyunjin thinks he is.

As he watches them joke around, the déjà vu-like feeling comes, washing over him in a warm, numbing wave. It’s dizzying how intense the feeling is, dread and disorientation further fogging up his mind.
“Felix.” Hyunjin says quietly, vaguely aware that they are being filmed from multiple angles.
“Now?” Felix whispers, turning on his chair to get a better look at Hyunjin’s face. Hyunjin just nods. He’s still able to think kind of clearly but speaking feels like too much of an effort.
“Can you make it backstage?” Felix asks, hoping they can at least get away from the crew to give Hyunjin privacy. Hyunjin nods, hoping he’s right.---

“Do you want to tell them first?” Hyunjin asks then, and Felix almost sinks back into the couch, now it’s done, he’s brought it up.
“Tell us what?” Jisung says, looking so impatient but like he’s trying not to be.
“I don’t know what to say.” Felix says honestly, his mind is empty and full at the same time.
“Did you get the diagnosis?” Jisung says, and Minho hits him over the head, whispering something in a sharp voice that makes Jisung apologize.
“Yes.” Felix says, not looking at any of them because no matter what their reaction is, it will be wrong.---
Felix didn't expect a diagnosis to turn everything he knew about himself and the world upside down.

“Let me in?” Hyunjin whispers, clearly aware that Felix is in deep thought about something.
“I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Felix says, so tired that the statement brings tears to his eyes.
“Nothing is going to happen to me.” Hyunjin says, sounding so sure of it, but Felix knows that it isn’t true. If he could just make Hyunjin understand, snap him out of his denial, he would do it in a heartbeat.
“You don’t know that.” Felix whispers, barely keeping his voice from cracking.---
Felix is so worried about Hyunjin that he doesn't realize what is happening in his own body.

Summary
“I’m scared of fireworks.” Felix mumbles, and as soon as Hyunjin hears that, he hates himself for not realizing sooner. It was so obvious, but Hyunjin didn’t see it.
“Oh, Felix! You could’ve told us; we would’ve helped you.” Hyunjin says, feeling horrible that he went through that alone. How long was he terrified before Hyunjin came looking for him? Has he been scared of this for days and not felt like he could tell anyone?
“You can’t help, nothing ever makes a difference. I just have to endure it.” Felix says, clearly trying to be nonchalant about it.
“I’m sure we could find something. There has to be something you haven’t tried yet.” Hyunjin says.---
Every New Year's Eve, Stray Kids gather to celebrate, and every year, Hyunjin and Felix somehow end up in Felix's room, talking and growing closer with every word that leaves their mouths.
