Summary
Despite being a god, Sonic loves the mortal realm. He goes there very often, much to the chagrin of the other divinities. On one of his trips, Sonic encounters a baby fox with two tails. He is uncertain about what to do until he realizes that this could be the perfect opportunity to teach the others about mortals.
After a few months of Tails being in the divine realm, Shadow is the last god Sonic needs to convince.

Summary
Sonic takes Shadow and Tails to the Festival of Dawn, a celebration of the goddess of stars and dawn. While there, Sonic reveals his past to Tails.
When Tails disappears, Shadow is sent to look for him. Shadow discovers in that moment what it means to be the god of mortals, a domain he inherited from the deceased Maria.

Sonic, the head divinity and god of many domains, doesn't share their misgivings. He decides to leave the temple and its associates alone until it becomes a problem.
And one day, it becomes a problem.
