Keith didn’t move and neither did Pidge. It was a little awkward until Keith finally said, “Maybe we could officially officiate this..?”
“What do you mean?”
“Fist me.”
Pidge recoiled and sputtered, “Keith, what the f-” She was cut off by Shiro’s bellowing laughter from the observatory deck.
With his straight face unchanged, Keith lowered his left hand with the stopwatch and lifted his right hand, fisted.
Pidge actually sighed with so much relief, “OH. You mean fistbump! Right.” She slapped her forehead to remove the very very wrong image her imagination drew for her, “Holy shit, Keith, we need to work on that but yeah sure, I’d be honoured to officiate your physical contact program whatever.”

That one time Coran realized Keith was too distant and decided to make him undergo the 'Physical Contact' Initiation Program which then led to --> 5 times the paladins realized Keith was an actual cat.

Summary
“They want you to dance.” Pidge came clean, “Told us when you two were out flying earlier.”
Shiro raised his eyebrows. “Well, Keith isn’t as bad as me-“
“That’s the thing.” Matt cut him off. “They want both of you to dance. To honor our alliance and celebrate your killing of the giant worm. Together.”
Keith looked up at Matt slowly and said with fake solemn, “We’re doomed, Matt. The horror of 2050 has come back to haunt us.”
Matt played along with faux dread in his voice, “I told you we should have said the awful dancer that tripped everyone at the Garrison masquerade was Shiro.” Matt dramatically raised the back of his right palm to his forehead and tilted his head back with closed eyes. “Karma is reminding us of our bad decision.”
Hunk, Lance and Pidge’s eyes widened.
“THAT WAS YOU, SHIRO?!” Lance shouted while Hunk and Pidge gaped at their senior officer.
Shiro looked at Matt, then at Keith. “Please know, that I hate the both of you.”

Summary
“Shiro.” There was definitely underlying panic in Matt’s voice, “Is that a dragon? "Holding up the small curled dragon on his palm to Matt’s eye level, Shiro placating said, “Matt, meet Keith.”
The dragon drew both their attention when it started purring somewhat and then all of a sudden, sneezed a small ball of fire towards Matt, who opted to stare at ‘Keith’ blankly after mutely dodging the stray burst of flames.
In that flat (disapproving) voice that Shiro absolutely despised, Matt asked, “Shiro. Why? ” Matt started gesturing with his hands to stress on his distress of the situation, “HOW? ”
And that made Shiro think. How does one explain that a tiny dragon decided to reside in his right pocket? Looking at Matt and remembering how utterly skeptical his friend was, Shiro huffed. One does not.
Chapter 12 teaser: “I have no idea why you need to justify your dragon size but I’ll relent. Perhaps the size of an apple?”

“Let me rephrase then. You don’t have authorization to fly the MFE’s.”
Keith took out one of the Garrison-issued portable mini-tablet from his pocket and flashed his profile at James. “Technically, I’m a Garrison Pilot now-“
“How the heck did-“
“-and you’re the leader of the MFE Squadron. According to rule G18/14-B and R6617-K, it states that all pilots who are authorized in the Garrison hangar by their commanding officers are allowed to fly their designated aircrafts for routine checks. Sam also said I could ‘go for a spin’ if I’d like.”
James gave Keith a long, hard stare. “I can’t believe you still remember the rulebook after all these years.”
Keith shrugged innocently. “Had to know the rules if you wanna legally break them.”

After s7, they go to the beach, Keith makes a new friend, Pidge makes a Voltron Instagram account, Krolia grounds Keith for the first time and Shiro says 'Fuck'. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
“Um.. What are you.. Why are you here dressed like that, cadet?”
The teen frowned. “Cadet?”
Shiro frowned back. “You’re not a cadet?”
“…No, I’m just reading,” said the teen waving his hand towards the books around him, like it was the most obvious statement. “Library’s public, ain’t it?”
Slowly, Shiro shook his head. “No. No, it’s not. Not this one. How’d you get pass the sliding doors at the main entrance?”
The teen looked genuinely surprised. “There’s a main entrance?”
Shiro finds a teenager reading books in the Galaxy Garrison library (illegally). He and Matt soon find out that the teen was no ordinary kid. This leads to a chain of events whereby Keith bonds with both Matt and Shiro and he eventually joins them in the Kerberos mission.
(A retelling of VLD if Keith was a little older when Shiro found him and if Keith hadn't been orphaned at a young age)
