Two sentences, from two different people. A father, and a son. Both who are one of the most famous and feared men in the history of mankind. Both of which engraved themselves into a young child's brain. Marking him, making him to be like them, to BE one of them.
Izuku Midoriya was never supposed to survive. Born quirkless in a cruel world, he was stolen from innocence and forged into something unrecognizable: a child soldier, trained in silence, baptized in fire, and bound to three brothers by war. They bled together, laughed together, and died together. All except him.
And somewhere along the way, he found her. A little girl with bright eyes and tiny hands. His daughter. His reason to live again. His reason to kill. But now, his reason to die.
What was it that Ubbe said? Ah yes, "Don't waste your time looking back, you're not going that way."

"Death seems to evade you young one..." The madman walks all around the bloody and cut up teenager, whose eyes never left his target.
"Well, I've been kicked out of Valhalla a lot." The teen spat out blood before charging his opponent, his sword and axe returning to the grip of his hands as he strikes down with the sword and uses the axe to embed it into his side. Unfortunately, the sword was blocked and the axe was deflected before the lunatic sends a kick straight to the boy's bruised solar plexus, sending the boy across the room as he coughs out spit and lets go of his weapons while he attempts to regain his breath.
"Then allow me to send you back!" His enemy charges him with a bladed hand, ready to take his head off while he's still trying to take in air. Once his opponent got close enough, Izuku simply flexed his fingers and his secondary axe came flying towards him, chopping off the man's forearm in the process. The sudden loss of his appendage caught him by surprise, enough that he wasn't feeling the pain before the young man stuck his axe's blade through his chest. Midoriya twisted the axe and pulled it upward, slicing him open and splitting his head open.
"Nah...not ready yet, Odin's orders."

Izuku was worried. He always was when he heard a new student had transferred into Aldera Middle School, as every time without fail they’d be sent to beat him up to prove themselves to one gang or another.
It was the rite of passage into every gang. However, this time, something different happens. Sure Ibara Shiozaki could be a little bit mean at times but she was completely different from everyone so far. She’d actually bothered to talk with him and had left him alone once she’d decided he wasn’t worth beating up.
Once this gets her shunned by the rest of the school, Izuku feels responsible and tries to get to know her better. As it would turn out, it may just have been the best decision of his entire life.
