Summary
In which Castiel returns as human and learns shame. Dean’s silence cuts deeper than rejection, and Sam’s hesitance offers little comfort. Survival and being human was supposed to mean peace, but for Cas it means consequences...and the unbearable weight of love unreturned.

Summary
The choirs of Heaven sang Hallelujah when Dean Winchester was saved.
The Angel’s wings, torn, tired and twisted, dragged behind him as he climbed out of the pit, cradling that precious soul in his hands. The Angel wept as he laid the shattered pieces out before him. He sorted through the ragged shards, piecing them together, discarding those discoloured and stained by trauma, pain and sorrow.
“You must rebuild him as he was broken…”
The command came, floated down around him as sharp as a fractured chord.
The Angel gathered those damaged fragments and wrapped them in his grace, numbing the pain, and slipped them into place.
Finally the Righteous Man’s soul was rebuilt. The Angel held it carefully against his chest as he wept. The soul glowed golden. Its beauty marred by streaks of blue, red and black.
Pressed back into his body, the soul restored. One final kiss, a breath of life, the Righteous Man awakens and the Angel recedes.

Summary
This is the reunion of Team Free Will. This takes place after the very last episode where we see Sam and Dean reunite (which I was very happy to see) but since we never got to see them reunite with Castiel and Jack, I decided to write it down and and share what I think would happen.

Summary
After dying and arriving in Heaven, Dean expects peace—but instead, he’s haunted by the absence of the one soul he needs most: Castiel. The pain of Cas’s final declaration of love still lingers, not because of what was said, but because Dean never got to respond. He searches for Cas through Heaven’s quiet roads and golden fields, unable to let go, tormented by everything left unresolved.
AKA - These two idiots finally get their shit together.

Summary
What if Dean's seeming acceptance of death wasn't resignation, but a choice?
Maybe he was given an ultimatum: continue his life as a hunter with Sam, or sacrifice himself to give his brother a chance at happiness and normalcy, allowing Dean to reunite with Castiel in the afterlife.
This perspective adds depth to Dean's character, suggesting his decision to "give up" was actually a selfless act of love for Sam's future and a plan to reunite with his angel.
The relationship between Dean and Cas is only mentioned in part 1, this is just a small fix it/prequel of sorts. Part 1 ends with Dean’s death and part 2 will start with him in heaven.
Also the dialogue between Sam and Dean is the exact dialogue that happens in the show, word for word, I simply added context behind them.

Summary
Heaven gave Dean peace. But peace didn’t mean solitude.
After the road ends, Dean keeps driving. Something’s missing—until a cabin appears like it was waiting for him all along. Inside: a fire, a familiar mug, and Cas.
No monsters. No missions. Just mornings, silence, touch.
A quiet love story, built in the afterlife—where the tether between them hums not with longing, but with choice.
Dean already heard “I love you” once. This time, he says it back.

Summary
Dean Winchester is a mess after Castiel’s death. No one saw the whole extent of it, except for a fox. Canon-compliant, ending differs, so it is fix-it of sorts.

Summary
Grief doesn’t follow any rules. It lingers in the spaces between memories, leaving more questions than answers.
After Ellen’s death, Dean Winchester finds himself drawn back to the Roadhouse—a place tangled in ghosts of the past, the kind of ghosts that don’t fade easily. The weight of shared loss pulls old faces into view, unearthing regrets and reopening wounds that Dean thought had healed over the years.
But grief, as Dean is learning, doesn’t always bring closure—it just brings more of the mess he’s been avoiding. When Castiel Novak, the boy he once loved, reappears after nearly a decade of silence, Dean is faced with everything he’s buried and everything he never fully understood. As secrets unfold and old wounds are laid bare, Dean has to decide whether to confront the past or let it be.
(I fully rewrote this and I'm happier with it this go around.) Human AU.

Summary
Roads in Heaven don't look too different from what they used to back on Earth: the pavement is almost invisible as Baby runs and purrs, the trees are still green, the sun keeps on shining and the birds won't stop chipping. But more than something is missing in that sort-of-Paradise for Dean to be truly happy forever. And forever, oh, that's too damn long to think about. But facing things he's tried to suppress for a lifetime? That's even harder than comprehend the concept of eternity ahead. But maybe sometimes you just need to stop and watch a sunset on a cliff, have a conversation you're not ready to have, and do your best to pull yourself together to finally get to know that at the top of that stairway to Heaven, forever ain't long.
Actually, to be honest, it's not even enough to start.or
The one where Dean gets to Heaven, takes a full-on journey on the self discovery train thanks to people he trusts, and eventually gets the Happy Ever After he deserves.
