“You okay?” He whispers.
Will just nods, sucking in a breath. “Yeah. Can we– I’m tired. I just want to go back to the motel.”
“Yeah, of course."
As the night goes on, it seems that the cold only becomes more harsh, biting at any and all exposed skin.
Will hates the cold.
It always settles deep under his skin, into his bones until he’s numb. Ten years ago or so, he wouldn’t have hesitated to jump into the first snow pile he saw with Mike, laughing as they threw snowballs and stuffed each other’s jackets with snow, getting sick and thinking it’s so worth it.
Now– it just reminds him of everything that happened to him in the upside-down.

I watched the season 5 finale with my best friend at 5 am and was so mad that by night I developed a whole plot that only changes things in the last episode (so yeah I couldn’t fix all plotholes) but at least I can live with it because I feel like the message was so lost in this ending.
