Wilbur never understood the reason for sad stories.
Books were to entertain, and it certainly wasn't entertaining to read about war and death. If the Prince truly wanted to see that, he would simple look outside. If he wanted to hear about that, he would ask his father about the latest beheading. Books were supposed to be an escape from that.
What angered Wilbur more, however, were *love* stories.
Especially ones like 'Romeo and Juliet.'He despised those with a burning passion.
It's not like Wilbur didn't like the concept of 'love'.
No... that's far from it.He just hated the clichés.
Not to mention books containing love AND sadness.
He'd never pick up the book again.
The 'love you could never have but you'd risk everything for it' trope was absolute insanity to Wilbur.But, who knew, with a comical amount of irony, that his life was about to turn into what he loathed the most.

“Are you jealous - no, shut the fuck up.” Karl mocked him, “Who is this guy anyway?”Or Karl goes far away for school, leaving behind his friends, but most importantly, leaving behind Sapnap, his ex friends with benefits. He comes home for the holidays to find Sapnap may have moved on.

The issue was that Karl himself didn’t want to play. Don’t get him wrong, he always found a way to enjoy himself during the streams and his friends were anything if not pleasant. What made him shy away from gathering a group to play with was the pandering.
It’s not that the pandering bothered Karl, more so that he was getting fed up with it. He’s sure he’s not the only one who can’t stand it anymore, and therefore he makes no effort to put his opinions into question.
Without fail, every time his streams would end, his social media would be absolutely flooded with ‘DNF’. He knows it’s a joke, but it gets old.
Or, Karl hasn’t hosted Jackbox in months due to his annoyance at his boyfriend’s pandering.
