    What if a temporal hiccup meant Steve Rogers completely botched his trip back in time and landed smack-dab in the middle of the newly formed Thunderbolts? A group of dysfunctional "heroes" with more baggage than a lost-and-found convention.

A lifelong fanboy, he's now on a team with his idol, Captain America, and Bucky Barnes, the one guy who’s been giving him the cold shoulder since forever. But John's hero worship is more than Bucky can take. Now Bucky has to deal with the guy he thought abandoned him and a puppy-dog soldier who's showering Steve with the admiration Bucky had been so carefully rejecting. It's a possessive, jealousy-fueled nightmare.

    Now, with missions to run and way too many feelings to unpack, the trio finds themselves in the most awkward love triangle in superhero history.

    Meeting your heroes is horrible. Trust John Walker on this one. He's been there, He's done it. He's met the James Buchanan Barnes. Now he has to deal with the consequence of falling in love with his hero.

    It was a casual thing. A friend with benefit, they told each other. Bucky missed Steve, and John just wanted to be with Bucky.

    But no, they couldn't stay that way, every time they had their secret affair they fell deeper and deeper.

    However they never admitted their love to each other. In fact, John Walker was sure that the moment one of them did, their whole dreamy relationship would be over. Their arrangement thrived on its delusional foundation. No matter how much they cuddled, no matter how much they cared for each other, they remained to identify themselves as a casual fling at best.

    So naturally, John Walker made it his mission never to say the following words: "I love you"

     

    One very messy night, whilst an event no one really knows the truth of, he's said it. Now to make up for it, John Walker decided to run away.
