Summary
Three years pass since Class of '89 finally walked the stage. Three years of separation, longing, growth and new beginnings. They all have secrets to hide, some better than others. But college is out, summer has come upon the party and Jonathan Byers has just invested some of his savings into a van. A van he wishes to take Will Byers and the rest of the party in, in hopes of rekindling the bond that seemingly couldn't be broken.
"A cabin! A small cabin!" He exclaimed excitedly to Robin Buckley, his only pal in New York.
Though the party is skeptical, they give up a few weeks of their summers to indulge in Jonathan's need for reconnection, and there they find connections they couldn't have even dreamed of.
Reluctance, tension, secrets and confession.

Jonathan realized things with Nancy weren’t going to work because he constantly felt out of place. Like the wrong variable in a math equation; he didn’t complete the function. He didn’t fit. But with Steve… Jonathan couldn’t shake the feeling that Steve fit. Like a glove. Like a warm jacket. Like the borrowed pack of Joyce’s cigarettes in his back pocket; something he couldn’t quit even if he tried. The whole thing made Jonathan dizzyingly nauseous if he thought about it for too long.
