Summary
After graduating with a degree in psychology, Lucy is having trouble finding a clinic that will hire a woman in the 1960's. Down on her luck and in need of a job, she gets an offer through a friend of a friend to be a caretaker of a massive castle and estate in the north coast of Germany. the pay is good, and she'll get to live in the castle as she works. Her new employer, the mysterious Schroeder Felton, keeps an odd schedule. She barely sees him during the day, and when she sees him at night, playing away on the keys of a forte piano, he never eats. She's immediately fascinated by him. At first he's cold and distant, but as they get closer she starts to see a lighter, more gentle side of him. But there is something he's hiding from her, and she will get to the bottom of it.

Schroeder, now in a new school after having to move away from his old home, had applied to join the school band club where he could play the piano for a benefit. Though always playing classical bore him out of his skin, so when he was recruitment posters of a band needing a keyboard player, he had allowed himself to delusion about getting compliments from his playing.
He was in the media center, with all the qualifiers, and the judge was this vocalist that was his neighbor who was also his childhood friend. There was no way he could get in.
But he didn't even need to play a single note, or put effort in trying to do so in the first place; he got the position.
Now with this excuse of the band, Lucy just won't stop talking to him. But Schroeder doesn't think that stealing his first kiss was pretty band related.
He's not complaining, though.
