Summary
Bradley Uppercrust III, or 'Brad', as Maximilian Goof calls him, is back at school after being out for three weeks following the X-Games. Tank slingshotting Bradley into the blimp has forced new fears and new feelings into Bradley's life. All he wants now is to get through his last two years at State and graduate. He's on thin ice with the school and his father, so he needs to not make another mess or spill too much in therapy. However, Max seems to have other ideas.

Max had hoped to never see Bradley again, ever, after the X-Games. So why was Bradley walking up to him and his friends? Was he actually being serious, or was this another scheme? Wait, does Brad actually have a heart?

Summary
Bradley owes a lot of money to ESPN.
Adding a minimum wage job at the Bean Scene to his course load has been detrimental to any chance of keeping a social life. He could be a pariah for the last years of school for all he cared. It was too late to branch out at this point anyways, so the less he was noticed, the better.
Unfortunately, running into Max means that his court-mandated therapy ends up being relevant for more than forging prescriptions.
Max just wants to pass his classes, but finding out his rival is gay keeps derailing him from studying

Summary
Less than a week into his sophomore year, Max believed he had this whole college thing under control. Winning the previous year’s X Games had definitely given him a leg up when it came to socializing; friendly faces now followed him wherever he went from the quad to The Bean Scene. With his best friends by his side, nothing could possibly spoil his newfound sense of belonging at the University of Spoonerville.
Well, nothing except a summons letter from the school reminding him of an unavoidable decision, one that he was now condemned to make on a deadline tighter than a noose.

Less than a week into his senior year, Bradley held onto his fraternity membership by a thread. He had doused his relationship with the other Gammas in gasoline and burned it to ashes at the previous year’s X Games. Living under the Uppercrust family name demanded excellence: in academics, in athletics, and within social circles he was loath to participate. However, Bradley didn’t have time to dwell on his newfound status as a villain in the eyes of his peers. He only had to graduate.
Leave it to the school’s administration to throw a wrench in his plans with an assignment that would destroy what remained of his identity. -

After the X Games, Bradley faces lots and lots of problems, especially with the Gamma Mu Mu Fraternity.
And since The Gammas disbanded, Bradley was not only alone, but also completely hated by all the members, especially Tank, which was fair, to be honest.
Max faces financial problems after his dad gets demoted, and now makes too little money to support Max’s rent.
An since luck definitely wasn’t on any of their sides, they both have to settle on a cheap dorm with a stranger.

"The past beats inside me like a second heart", John Banville once said. And as of late Bradley Uppercrust the 3rd has been feeling that 'second heart' beat irregularly as he keeps playing his past life that led up to his final X-Games over and over in his head. He longs for the simpler times then but also hates how that day reminds him of what he lost. Eventually his thoughts lead him to wander into the last place he ever thought he'd ever be in. And an act of kindness on his part further leads him to meet the last person he ever thought he'd see.
What will come of this encounter? Will things come to blows like they did in the past? Will there be cold indifference? Or is there a chance that this moment of nostalgia could form a new, precious memory?

Six years into CI, Bradley Uppercrust has done what he was always built to do and thrived at it. He’s earned his position the hard way. College is behind him now, sealed away with the other mistakes he refuses to name. He has a future to focus on, and he intends to keep it.
Until the past walks into the same building.
Max doesn’t arrive like a disaster. Somehow changed enough to make Bradley feel foolish for still bracing. Bradley tells himself it won’t matter. That if he ignores the noise, the noise will learn to die. He’s been practicing that kind of denial for years.
Only for him to be proved wrong.
Because when the agency assigns them to the same case, the old flame doesn’t just return. It comes back hungry, bright, and embarrassingly alive. Bradley thought Max would be out there somewhere, bathing in applause, skating with pure talent and easy recognition. Instead, Max has the nerve to be steady. To look at Bradley like history is a fact, not a wound.
Bradley doesn’t know what’s worse: being partnered with his regret or realizing he still hasn’t learned how to survive it.

Summary
Everybody wanted to be, or be with, Bradley Uppercrust III. There was nothing that wasn’t going for him! He put every spec of time, effort and dedication to not only earn the reputation, but build the perfect life he had for himself at Lakewood University.
All his glory fell apart when a certain freshman, Max, and his loser friends, came into the picture. After his humiliating loss to them, and more importantly, getting exposed as a cheater at the X Games, his entire world turned upside down.
It only took one scandal for his self-made image to unravel, which led to the complex truth of his past, and personhood, to be revealed.
And it was all thanks to that damned Max Goof.

Summary
This is a slooooow burn about Max Goof and Bradley Uppercrust III. In this universe everyone is a human. It takes place after the X Games, which happen in the fall semester. Everything in this fic is going to take place after that. Also, Bradley is only a year older than Max in this story.
Bradley ends up getting kicked out of the Gammas due to getting caught cheating and causing the Gammas to forfeit the X Games. And since he humiliated his family name, he now has to spend a semester in the dorms. Max ends up having to room with him due to new dorm requirements.
This will be about their friendship forming and eventually turning into a romance. This will be a first person point of view from both Max and Bradley. I hope you enjoy! :)
