On the final day of school, Max falls down the bleachers of the school football field and loses consciousness. He wakes up four years later and discovers that he's in college, he's actually popular, he's the best skateboarder on campus, and he's into guys. Unable to believe the things PJ and Bobby told him about himself, especially the last part about being bi, that is until he spots this hottie with the clearest blue eyes skateboarding on a large ramp in the college skate park.

Bradley Uppercrust III, or 'Brad', as Maximilian Goof calls him, is back at school after being out for three weeks following the X-Games. Tank slingshotting Bradley into the blimp has forced new fears and new feelings into Bradley's life. All he wants now is to get through his last two years at State and graduate. He's on thin ice with the school and his father, so he needs to not make another mess or spill too much in therapy. However, Max seems to have other ideas.

After returning from his dad’s graduation, Max thinks that his hardest days are now past him. That is, until he gets stuck spending summer break retaking the calculus course he failed.

While Max struggles between his new developing feelings and becoming an adult, Bradley has to learn how to change and face the feelings he refuses to accept.
With these old wounds resurfacing and new feelings forming, the two of them have a long way to go.
